Color and Concepts

Carrie Lane explores the world, capturing the relationship with its inhabitants one piece at a time.

Family Portraits

Carrie Lane creates family heirlooms with people who care. Precious moments are fleeting. Bringing an image to life as a painting not only commemorates a moment of value, it creates the opportunity for new memories to be made while sharing interactions with the piece. Value the memory, share that the memory is valued with your loved one.

Memories and Memorials

Carrie Lane works to bring ideas from the mind to reality. She has most recently created a large memorial piece for Reliance Medical Transport in Virginia Beach, VA. The “Ether Tree” combines the request for an image of a tree with a sacred place for the names of passed loved ones. The darkness of grief creates a filter for light to sparkle through, each leaf a little different but all made of the same ethereal material.

A resident of Virginia Beach, VA since 1996, Carrie Lane has a rich history of respect for our country’s Armed Forces. Carrie Lane works with clients to create pieces that honor fond memories, duty stations and general themes from their service years.

Sometimes fond memories are of a place that can no longer be visited. Creating a painting of a beloved childhood home can be a present and future blessing. A family heirloom can be a focal point for gatherings, allowing elders to share memories with new generations.
